As we stride across these snowflakes
With heavy hearts and bloodshot eyes,
With gloves glued in frozen blood.
My ink has dried and faded
Even the poetry – lost.
Today, is beauty so beautiful?
Is peace so peaceful?
No – who knows.
This white blanket is crimson red.
There are volcanoes under this snow.
I see each drop of rain in free fall.
I see emptiness as these clear drops of rain burst with petrichor,
Like a child bursts into tears.
You can not tame the wild in her eyes
or her bourbon stained lips,
She will taste as sweet as heaven
while smoking your heart like a cigarette.
Learning not to make monuments out of people i have loved.
You like sunshine,
I like the sound of rain ,
You like change,
I like things remaining the same.
We can’t change people,
we can only love them.
They tasted like chaos
and everything in between.
